Hi friends! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends. I spent mine with my stepdad’s family down in Palm Springs, California and it’s been really nice. Today we’re relaxing and watching the Apple Cup (the Washington State University vs. University of Washington football game, for those of you who don’t know) so I thought I’d take a little time to share some noteworthy Black Friday deals.
I have to admit though – I do find it a little ironic that shortly after we celebrate what we’re thankful for, Black Friday shifts the focus to a materialistic mindset where we’re worried about what else we might need. Recently I’ve been trying to be mindful of investing in pieces I will have for awhile instead of just accumulating random trendy pieces that’ll be out of style in a few months. However, I do think that it is a good time to save on whatever we would buy eventually anyways. I like to look for jeans, coats, shoes, or other things I’ll get a lot of use out of.
During Black Friday / Cyber Monday I also keep my eyes open for deals on items that are a bit pricier like technology, handbags, perfume, etc.
After searching around a bit, the sales below are the ones that I personally will be checking out this year. I included some major retailers as well as a few of my favorite small businesses. 🙂 To shop, click on the name of the store or the thumbnails. ALLSAINTS – 30% off everything
ALLSAINTS is one of the best places to find high quality leather. My sister has a couple great leather jackets from there that have lasted FOREVER and just get better with time. They also have great denim.
Amour Vert – 20% off everything with code GREENFRIDAYSALE
I’ve been working with Amour Vert for almost a year now and I love their brand! They’re all about sustainability which is so cool and hard to come by in the fashion industry. The yellow dress I’m wearing in the photos above is by them. They have their own brand and carry several others as well.
apse – 15% off everything with code THESEASON4APSE
apse is one of my favorite small businesses in Washington. They are a husband and wife duo located in Bellingham and they hand-make the most stunning, timeless pieces. I’ve collaborated with them a couple times on Instagram and they’re just the best. 🙂
Aritzia – up to 60% off everything
If you know me you know I LOVE Aritzia! Some of my favorite items in my closet are from them, like these joggers I wear all the time (they’re currently sold out of the best colors though…). Recently I had the chance to collaborate with them on this blog post and it was such a fun opportunity.
Dolce Vita – extra 25% off sale with code TREATYOURSELF
You’ve probably heard me say it before, but Dolce Vita has been one of my favorite shoe brands since I worked in Women’s Shoes at Nordstrom. They are made well and are pretty comfortable! The booties run true to size and the slides/loafers tend to run a bit big.
Everlane
Everlane is just the best. For Black Friday they are raising money to support Oceana in their fight to end single-use plastic in an effort to save the ocean. For every order placed they are donating $10. As I’m writing this, they’ve raised $70,000 of their $300,000 goal! One of my favorite items from them are these cropped pants – they have 3,000+ reviews and almost 5 stars. SIZE DOWN – I am a 4 but the 0 fits me best! For Cyber Monday they are doing one of their famous ‘Choose What You Pay‘ sales.
Lulus – buy 4 get 1 free + 40% off select items
Lulus is one of those places you can find clothes for pretty much anything – relaxing, going out, work, casual… they always have some good options. I recommend checking out their dresses if you have any special occasions coming up!
lululemon – markdowns on assorted items
As much as I love other workout brands, there’s just something about lululemon’s leggings that other retailers can’t always compete with. A few of my favorite styles are on sale!
Madewell – 40% off entire purchase with code YAYINTERNET
Madewell is a great place to find denim, sweaters, accessories like bags and jewelries, and more.
Mejuri – 20% off three items, 15% off two, 10% off one
Mejuri is such a good place to get jewelry staples that will last. I love their earrings and necklaces and wear mine almost every single day. This is their only sale of the year so I definitely recommend checking it out!
Moorea Seal – up to 75% off everything
Moorea Seal is another Seattle-based business. They’re a cute shop downtown Seattle with an online storefront as well, named after author Moorea Seal. (If you’ve heard of the 52 lists books – those are hers!) They have cute clothes, accessories, gifts, books, and more.
Nasty Gal – 60-80% off everything + extra 15% off with code GOWILD15
I like to check out Nasty Gal for things like fun boots, dresses, going out tops, jackets, etc. They have a good mix of staples + trendier pieces.
Nike – 25% off with code CYBER
This one pretty much explains itself. I feel like I can always go to Nike when I need new gym clothes or shoes and they have great options. Below are a few things I have had my eye on for a bit and might snag.
Nordstrom – up to 50% off sale + spend $125, get $25 etc.
Nordstrom has a couple things going on – up to 50% off sale as well as rewards when you spend a certain amount. We all know Nordstrom is the perfect place to find make-up, shoes, denim, and the best brand names you can count on!
Ray-Ban – up to 50% off select styles
Black Friday is a good time to get nice sunglasses like Ray-bans that are sort of an investment. If you’ve been thinking about getting a pair anyways, I recommend just doing it now!
Reformation – 30% off everything
This is definitely a sale worth shopping because Reformation is a bit pricier. That said, all of their stuff is super high quality and made ethically.
Urban Outfitters – 25% off everything
I feel like Urban has been a staple for so many girls for quite some time now. I specifically like to check there for graphic tees, dresses, loungewear, shoes, and coats!
