Loungewear Lineup: Nine Brands You’ll Love

Best Loungewear - @AutumnSorelle

Hi beauties! Boy are these some weird times that we’re in right now. This unprecedented situation of having to stay quarantined at home due to a deadly virus is not something I ever expected to experience. I hope you’re all staying home, healthy, and happy!

While it all feels a bit freaky and overwhelming, I feel like there’s been some good that’s come of it as well. It has really put things into perspective and allowed us to realize how much we are thankful for things like travel, hugging our grandparents, happy hour at our favorite bars, and just hanging out with our friends. I’m sure you can relate!

Anyways… I’m keeping the rest of this post a bit more lighthearted. I just felt like it was important to acknowledge the severity of the situation that inspired this topic.

Today I want to talk about one of my favorite categories of clothing: LOUNGEWEAR! Because unless you are a first responder, grocery store employee, mailman/woman, etc. (thank you!!!), then you probably aren’t out and about much right now. You’re most likely at home, working or relaxing in the loungewear of your choice. That said, I thought it would be the perfect chance to share some of the best loungewear brands!

Let’s first cover what makes for great loungewear. Personally, I like to take into account these factors:

  • Comfort. (DUH). I look at how the items fit, their stretch, and how soft they might be. When online shopping, just look at the product details and then head to Google to research the fabric if you need to.
  • Breathability. I like to go for loungewear that’s mostly cotton or another breathable material like rayon or silk.
  • Quality. How well is the item going to hold up? Reviews are a good thing to check for this.
  • Cost. Is the item worth the price? Remember that it can be worth paying more for high-quality staples if you expect to get a lot of use out of them.
  • Style. Who doesn’t want their loungewear to be cute?! I honestly feel better wearing fun, matching PJs than old, raggedy ones.

With all of these things in mind, below are some of the best loungewear options out there. Either I’ve tried these brands personally or they were recommended by a lot of you on Instagram. If you’re in need of some new cozy clothes, look no further than this post!

Aerie

I feel like Aerie is one of those brands that’s been reliable for awhile now. So many of you mentioned them when I asked on IG! I’ve been getting underwear from them for forever! Their sleep shorts also never fail me – I just ordered these shorts + this matching tank and am pretty excited. (They’re also having a great sale right now!)

Brooklinen

Brooklinen recently launched a loungewear line and I can only imagine how great it is because I am a HUGE fan of their bedding. I have their Luxe Hardcore Sheet Bundle and it’s my favorite thing ever. Need to get my hands on some of their clothes ASAP!

Hanes

You may think I’m joking about this one, but I’m really not! My sister Layne had me throw this one in the mix. One of her favorite things to do is get the cheap Hanes cotton sweatsuits on Amazon. Sometimes she gets crafty and cuts or tie-dyes them but they’re also great just as they are. Here is an example of one of their crewnecks! Really can’t beat the price.

LACAUSA

LACAUSA has the best cozy basics. I have this tie-dye sweatsuit from them and it is so comfortable and made well! La Causa means “The Cause” in Spanish. They are committed to honest, ethical manufacturing and a portion of their proceeds goes to organizations and charities.

Lett Clothing

The adorable set I’m wearing in this post is from LETT! What I love most about their pieces is the versatility. They’re perfect to wear at home but you can easily add some layers and wear them out and about as well. I am wearing the Vienna Top & Heathrow Pant (though my exact color is sold out). Love that the cut is a little more trim and feminine as opposed to sweatsuit-type loungewear.

Lunya

Lunya’s sleep collection is sooo beautiful. My cousin and I have had our eyes on their washable silk sleepwear and robes for some time now but they’re just a little expensive. I especially love this washable silk set that comes in 8 colors. It has 5 stars and 600+ reviews! Might just have to splurge on it one day.

Mate the Label

MATE is an essentials brand made sustainably in Los Angeles. They have a bunch of different sweatshirts and sweatpants so you can mix and match colors and styles! I love all of the neutral colors – think olive green, burnt orange, cream, and more.

Reformation

Also recommended by some of you on IG! I love Reformation but I’ve never tried their loungewear. I found these classic sweatpants made of 100% organic cotton when browsing their site. It looks like they’re sold out in a lot of sizes right now, but you can join the waitlist!

Richer Poorer

Richer Poorer is all about the essentials. I have some of their tees and have worn their bralettes + briefs in the past. They also have some adorable sweats that I have my eye on!

Ok, there you have it! There are a TON of other great loungewear brands nowadays, these are just a few that you can’t really go wrong with.

As always, thanks so much for reading!
