You guys I am SO happy that spring is here! When my mom and I took these photos it was almost 60 degrees and sunny in Seattle (hence all the shadows). I drive past this Seattle Chinatown/International District on the back roads into downtown where I work and had been wanting to take photos here for awhile. The area is just bustling with people and obviously it goes without saying but there’s so much culture. It’s right by King Street Station which is another cool Seattle spot, just east of Pioneer Square.

Florals alwaysss seem to be a thing when spring comes around. I’m gonna take an educated guess and say it’s because the flowers bloom this time of year… makes sense, right? Groundbreaking, in the words of Miranda Priestly. BUT the florals I’ve been seeing this year are a bit funkier, like a new take on an old trend. There seem to be a lot of 60s/70s inspired florals everywhere right now – bright colors and quirky patterns… an upgrade from all the boring old pastel florals. Love this look I put together because the dress is so unique and fun, and the platform heels add another element of style. After all, platforms are one of a few must-have spring shoe trends for this year!

So, there ya have it! Instead of going for the average floral dresses this spring, pick ones that will spice up your wardrobe. I definitely scored when I found this dress at Target for an amazing price. I am SO SAD because it is sold out online… to find it I would check a Target near you (or shop some similar options below)!
