What’s up friends! I find that one of the most difficult things when it comes to fashion is figuring out what to wear in between seasons. Summer to fall can be especially hard. For example – here in Seattle this weekend the temperature is in the low 70s! But it’s technically fall, so I really don’t feel like wearing summery clothes. In this post I’m going to share with you guys a few of my go-to pieces that can work for this tricky time of year when it’s just barely fall and the weather hasn’t made up it’s mind.
Shop the look: DRESS | BAG | BOOTIES
Midi Dresses
I looooove love love midi dresses. Not only are they incredibly comfy, they’re also very versatile. On a day like today where it’s 72 and a bit windy, I’d wear something like I am in the photos above. Pairing your midi dress with booties gives it a fall vibe, and you can even bring along a jacket to throw on if it gets chillier… Bringing me to my next point!
Moto Jackets
These are a MUST for fall. Whether you go for suede, leather, or something more funky, this type of jacket is a great staple for cooler days. Not to mention the fact that they transition perfectly from day to night. You can easily go straight from work to grabbing a drink with friends when you’re wearing one of these!
Lightweight Sweaters
Sweaters are probably the biggest life-saver in my closet. They’re what I grab instantly when I don’t know what to wear. Between summer and fall it’s nice to have a good selection of lightweight sweaters to throw on with a fun pair of pants or even just jeans and a pair of slides or booties.
Slides
These shoes are made for fall days. Well, fall days that aren’t rainy. They cover your toes and keep your feet fairly warm but aren’t as hot as boots/booties. I love wearing mine with cropped jeans or pants and then a sweater or moto jacket like the ones I linked above!
That does it for the four items I think every woman needs in her closet heading into fall! Oh and the other great thing about these pieces – they can easily be mixed and matched. Hope you found this helpful and as always, thank you for taking the time to read this post!
