What’s up guys! I don’t know about you, but during fall and winter I am so quick to throw on a sweater and jeans when I’m in a rush and can’t decide what to wear. Usually it’s an oversized sweater because they’re just amazingly comfy. BUT a lot of times when I do this, I sort of end up feeling super boring and blah. This fashion hack is all about how to spice up the classic sweater and jeans look we all love so that we can still feel confident! Below the photos I’m sharing three ways we can keep this combo trendy as well as product details for both outfits.

1. Go for the statement sweaters
Spicing up this sweater and jeans combo starts with the sweater. If you want to feel trendy, don’t always buy the simple pullovers or cardigans. Those are great, but it’s time to branch out of your wardrobe comfort zone! Choose a bright color or pattern, or pick the one with a quirky style, detail or embellishment! Go for the turtlenecks, ruffles, embroidery, off the shoulder… you get what I’m saying! I’ll link some sweaters below so you have somewhere to start.
2. Pick some quirky jeans
Instead of grabbing your classic skinny jeans, pair your sweater with some jeans that are a little different! They could have a raw hem like mine above. Or maybe they have some embroidery or are another color of denim! Lucky for us, statement denim is huge right now so it won’t be too hard to find some alternatives to your go-to skinnies.
3. Add funky shoes & accessories
Shoes and accessories will help you transform this basic look into something special! For the first look here I went with my gorjana silver hoops and Daniel Wellington watch (you can use my code DW15AUTUMN on their site for 15% off right now!). In the second one I decided to do a more exciting hairstyle using my Oli Rose Designs bandana as a hair accessory. (Yes it has my name on it, they customize)! Also In love with my black patent leather Zara booties in the first outfit.
