Hey everyone! Today I wanna talk about one of summer 2017’s biggest trends: wrap dresses. They seem to be taking over at the moment, and I’m totally okay with it! I have gotten some sort of email from almost all of my favorite stores featuring this dress style. I’ve seen short ones, long ones, even wrap rompers! If you don’t have a wrap dress in your closet, you need one.
The simplicity of wrap dresses makes them super wearable for almost any type of occasion which is nice! Today I’m showing you two looks – one is slightly dressier, one slightly more casual. I’ll link the details of these outfits below as well as some other dresses I’ve found and love!
I love a good block heel. When I worked at Nordstrom and was on my feet all day I lived in shoes like these! They’re comfortable, easy to wear with practically anything, and dress up your outfit just the right amount without being over the top! These particular ones are old Via Spigas – I’ll link similar ones below.
This wrap dress has a button that attaches one side of fabric to the other on the inside, and then you just wrap and tie. It feels more secure than you might think!
With the mustard tone of this dress I felt like gold accessories were the way to go! You can always count on simple layered necklaces to work well with a v-neck.
DETAILS
- DRESS (under $35; runs true to size – wearing a size S)
- SHOES (only available in black)
- ALTERNATIVE #1
- ALTERNATIVE #2 (on sale – under $60)
- ALTERNATIVE #3
- ALTERNATIVE #4
For this second wrap dress I went more casual! I liked how the classic all white Chuck Taylor II’s went well with the white floral pattern.
This dress is a little different than the other one – it is still secured on the inside first but then it ties in the back like an apron.
DETAILS
- DRESS: H&M, no longer available
- ALTERNATIVE #1 (very similar pattern)
- ALTERNATIVE #2 (under $50; similar color & style)
- SHOES (under $60; a lot more cushion than the traditional Converse)
Hopefully you guys like these looks and feel inspired to get a wrap dress of your own and wear it your way! Tag me on Instagram @autumnsorelle in your wrap dress look so I can see how you styled it!

The photos in this post were taken by Moch Snyder. She’s a local photographer who is SO talented, laid back, and fun to shoot with! She and her husband Jon often work together – I’ve known them for a long time. You can find their website here. She also took some of the photos for my recent post on Evolve Home + Apparel!
