A Few Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Favorites

YAYYY it is finally time for the best sale of the year… the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. What makes this sale different than most is that it always focused on great deals on mostly brand new items for fall and winter. They always throw in some cute ‘wear now’ pieces too though! The past two summers I actually worked the sale in Women’s Shoes and let me tell ya – the sale is much more enjoyable strictly as a customer!

The sale prices and new products will go public on July 21st! For the week leading up to the public sale every year they’re only available to Nordstrom cardholders for purchase. I definitely recommend looking into getting a Nordstrom card if you’re a frequent shopper there…. a lot of items sell out before the public sale every year (although sometimes there are restocks later on), and it is a great way to earn points year round and get money back to spend at the store!

In this post I am going to show you some simple looks I put together with the spotlight being on a few pieces I got from the sale… not everything in each outfit is from Nordstrom (unfortunately). At the very end of the post I will share links to some of the sale items on my wishlist!

Madewell Lakeside Peplum Shirt (Under $50)

This shirt caught my eye because of it’s versatility. For this outfit I went for a more professional/work vibe, but I would even wear this peplum top with something like black shorts and sandals for a casual feel. Madewell is a great brand (it lives up to it’s name) that I typically go for when I’m looking for clothes that are more minimalist/timeless.

Had to get a close up of the shoes! I wish these were from Nordstrom but I actually found them at Forever 21 a few months ago when I was in a rush to get some nude heels… I linked similar ones below.

BP. Lace Trim Satin Camisole (Under $25)

How fun is this vibrant green color?! The satin + lace trend looks like it’ll be continuing into the fall and maybe even winter with cool tones like this one. Pair with fun accessories and denim or a black skirt and you’re good to go! For this tank I went with an easy out-and-about look and wore it with my go-to Topshop jeans and mules.

Adjustable straps are always a plus!

BP. V-Neck Pullover Sweater (Under $25)

Although this sweater is fairly simple, it is one of my favorite anniversary sale finds this year! It’s perfect for any age, body type, etc. For this time of year I chose denim shorts to complete this outfit (great for a summer night!), but I know it’ll be nice to have this staple in my wardrobe going into the fall and winter… good for layering with coats.

Easy to wear straight-on, or more off-the-shoulder as seen in the pictures below!

Madewell Plaid Off the Shoulder Top (Under $45)

Off the shoulder tops seem to be all the rage right now, but it’s hard to find one that’s comfortable and doesn’t come up on your shoulders when you raise your arms or fall down. This top is surprisingly comfortable, sitting nicely on my shoulders without budging at all! I kept it neutral by pairing it with olive green shorts and black sandals, but as I always say – this could also be dressed up and made appropriate for work if worn with dressier pants and shoes.

The ties on the sleeves are such a fun addition! The pattern on the reverse side is slightly different and you can kind of see it on the ties.

Topshop Spot Strappy Culotte Jumpsuit (Under $60)

The second I put on this Topshop jumpsuit I fell in love. It fits perfectly and hugs my body well so I don’t have to worry about it sliding around or gapping in weird places. The material is great quality (gotta love Topshop) and it is unbelievably comfortable! Throw on a blazer and heels for work or dress it down like I did with mules or sandals.

The strappy look in the front is adorable – it also just helps to hold everything in place!
