Goodbye Spring + Hello Summer

Happy Sunday! Okay so I know I’m a little late on this one being that the first day of summer was over a week ago, but I just had to share this outfit that is great for this transition from spring to summer! We’re still having the occasional gloomy day here in Seattle so I’m still wearing jeans on a regular basis.

Quickly you will learn that I LOVE flowers, one of the reasons why I’m a big fan of spring! And so, hard as it is to believe, I’m always drawn to floral patterns and fabrics when I’m shopping. This top (surprisingly enough it’s from Zara) is perfect for the warmer seasons, and can easily be worn with jeans, shorts, or a skirt! It is a wrap-around top – something that I’ve been seeing a lot of recently. There is a button that secures it on the inside, and then you just overlap the two sides and tie it! I’ll link some examples of similar wrap tops below.

I chose to do black denim for this look, but with florals you can easily do blue, white, grey… even a color on the bottom if it matches well with the shades in the pattern! I scored when I found these jeans at the Nordstrom Rack – that place definitely takes some time and patience in order to find something good.

Mules are a trend that seem to be sticking around through the summer, and I love it! These ones are nice since they aren’t too tall, making them great for a day when you might have to walk a bit more than usual. They are still available at Nordstrom in 5 colors (see below).
