Hey friends! As you probably know, the Nordstrom Anniversary sale is the big hullabaloo right now. It’s a pretty big deal because it’s a bunch of brand new fall and winter items on sale for up to 40% off. They also discount some bestselling items.
Every blogger under the sun has been posting about it, but I wanted to be sure to do so in an intentional way that wasn’t overwhelming. It’s easy to feel pressured to buy things when you’re constantly bombarded with all of the sale items! Now that it’s the ‘public sale’ and everyone (not just Nordstrom cardholders) can shop, I’m going to share the pieces that are actually worth shopping.
I have to admit I’ve always been a huge Nordstrom fan, and even worked there on and off in the shoe department throughout my college years. This is why you should believe me when I say that the Anniversary Sale is a great time to purchase things you’ll get a lot of use out of like bras, leggings, denim, black booties, coats, etc. This is the only time a lot of these items will be on sale all year long.

Shoes
Starting with shoes because if you know me, you know shoes are my favorite thing to buy… especially sneakers. There weren’t many sneakers on the sale this year, but I did find a few. I also love to buy a pair of staple black booties for the fall/winter during the sale, and there are definitely some cute ones below! This pair of sock booties reminds me of a pair I wear alllll the time – with shorts, dresses, denim, pants, cropped jogger sweats, you name it.
Coats & Jackets
The N Sale is a great opportunity to save money on coats and jackets since they’re pricier items. The selection is limited but here are a few cute ones…
Tops
Not too many cute tops on sale this year, but here are a few worth taking another look at! I usually like to get a few basic sweaters for layering. I’m thinking of getting the ribbed shortsleeved sweater by Leith and the oversized Topshop sweater in cream.
Bottoms
Definitely some nice jeans & skirts! I have the Topshop Joni jeans (only $40 during the sale) which are great for going out and that sort of thing.
Dresses + Jumpsuits
A few of these dresses/jumpsuits would actually be great options to wear to a wedding! I know a few of you have been asking about wedding guest dress inspo. The ASTR the Label dress in particular has amazing reviews and comes in a few colors. AND it’s $30 off!
Loungewear, Activewear, Lingerie
Nothing beats cozy clothes! If I had to tell you to choose one thing from below – snag the Natori bra. Their bras are my favorite BY FAR… I wear them pretty much every day.
Beauty
Gotta love good beauty deals! I have my eye on that T3 hairdryer (I’ve heard such good things about it!) as well as the Lancome & Charlotte Tilbury lipstick sets.
Purses + Accessories
Here are a couple accessories that are marked down quite a bit! I’m not someone who typically splurges on handbags/purses – if you’re like me then this is a good chance to get a great deal. I also really love those classic gold hoops.
Men’s
Last but not least, I had to include something for the men! Whether you let him know about the sale and send him my picks below or grab him something while you’re shopping for yourself, all of these items are great staples that I’m sure he will love! (I even sent a few to my bf while writing this :)).
