Hey friends! Sometimes I feel like a broken record but OH MY WORD time is flying. How is it already the end of May?! At the end of next month 2019 will be halfway over. It really hit me when my little sister Layne came back from studying abroad last week… She’s been gone for a few months now but it feels like she just left for Prague yesterday.
Anyways, all that to say time is precious and we truly should focus on making each day count in one way or another. Whether it’s spending time outside, helping a stranger, doing something creative, or just unplugging for a few hours and connecting with someone we love, we owe it to ourselves to embrace each day.
As you can tell by the title this isn’t a mindfulness blog post or anything, that was just something on my mind that I felt like mentioning. 🙂
Today I want to share two spring/summer items I’m loving right now by one of my favorite brands, Sézane. Their pieces are so timeless/classic and very well-made, meaning you get quite a bit of use out of them. I own one of their coats and will probably wear it every winter ’til the day I die haha.
First up is this elegant white blouse. I’d been looking for a top like this for awhile and was so happy to see Sézane had the perfect one. You can do a bra / bralette underneath or wear a tank like I did if you want a more modest option for work etc.
Style it with a satin skirt, brown trousers, or jeans just to name a few options. The jeans I’m wearing here are my new favorites… I’ve been wearing them almost every day! You might’ve seen them in this recent blog post. 🙂
I also added a vintage scarf I had as a belt to spice up the look a little!

The second piece is this stunning bag. It’s real leather and you can tell by feeling it that it’s high quality. I’m obsessed with the wooden handle detail, and inside there are a few zipper pockets in addition to a larger pocket that closes with a sturdy magnet.
I’m so thankful that I’ve been able to collaborate with Sézane, because this exact bag doesn’t quite fit my budget at the moment. I’m going to link similar ones below in case you’re in the same boat. This kind of purse will save your life throughout spring and summer because it goes with everything!

Have to give a huge shout-out to my one of my mom’s good friends and a local photographer based in Olympia, WA – Amanda May! Recently she turned the barn on her property into a stunning photography studio (she specializes in fine-art black and white childhood portraits for the home) complete with chandeliers, velvet chairs and couches for props, and more. Last weekend my mom and I had the opportunity to hangout with her and shoot these photos in her barn… I’m obsessed! My sister came with us too and helped out with some styling/directing which was fun. 🙂
